ReadMark

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 22, 2026

ReadMark is a study app for language learning, exam practice, planning, typing practice, and AI-assisted study tools. This policy explains what data the app may process and how users can control, export, or delete their data.

Short version

ReadMark collects only the information needed to provide learning, account, AI, planner, and support features. Study content that you upload or type is used to generate study materials and improve your personal app experience. De-identified AI quality signals are collected only when you turn on the optional setting. We do not sell personal data.

Information we may collect

Children under 14

ReadMark currently limits account registration to users who confirm that they are 14 or older. A child under 14 cannot create an account through self-consent alone. Until a separate legal-guardian consent and verification process is available and completed, ReadMark does not permit an under-14 account to be created. If you believe that we received personal information from a child under 14 through an account, contact readmark.team@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it.

How we use information

AI and uploaded materials

Some ReadMark features send user-provided study content to AI services so the app can generate explanations, flashcards, quizzes, summaries, or planner recommendations. Avoid uploading highly sensitive personal information. Uploaded materials are processed only for the feature you request and for safety, reliability, and debugging where required.

Optional AI improvement signals

The optional “Help improve ReadMark AI” setting is off by default. When enabled, ReadMark may collect coarse signals such as course, question type, correct or incorrect outcome, response-time bucket, AI response success, whether an answer was helpful, and a selected reason when it was not helpful. These signals do not include chat text, email address, names, PDF or note contents, handwriting, images, audio, or transcripts. For signed-in users, an account ID is attached only so consent can sync and deletion can be honored; guest signals remain isolated on that device and never transfer to the next signed-in account. Users can turn the setting off and delete these improvement signals from AI settings. This data is reviewed in aggregate for evaluation, bug fixing, and future product or model improvements; it is not used for instant automatic model training.

Third-party services

These providers receive information only as needed to provide, secure, or troubleshoot the requested service.

Retention and security

Account and learning data is kept while the account is active or while it is needed to provide the requested feature. When a user permanently deletes an account, ReadMark removes the account and associated records from the active service. Limited security logs or provider backups may remain temporarily where needed for security, legal obligations, or the provider's normal backup-expiration cycle. ReadMark uses access controls, encrypted transport, and authenticated server requests to protect account data, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Data deletion and contact

Signed-in users can permanently delete their account directly in ReadMark from My → Account → Permanently delete account. The app confirms the irreversible action, deletes private saved materials, and removes the authentication account and associated profile, learning, classroom, and AI-improvement records from the server.
